Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing the Visva-Bharati University Convocation 2021 on February 19 via video conferencing. PM Modi will be speaking at the annual conference at 11 am. The convocation of Visva-Bharati University will be held from 9:30 am to 12 noon at Amra Kunja, Santiniketan. The Acharya, Visva-Bharati along with Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, MoS for Education Sanjay Dhotre and Governor of West Bengal will grace the occasion.

Prime Minister Modi tweeted, "Visva-Bharati is a prized centre of learning. It is closely associated with the ideals of the great Gurudev Tagore. Those who have studied there have distinguished themselves in many fields. At 11 AM tomorrow, 19th February, will be speaking at Visva-Bharati's convocation."

As per the official sources, a total of 2,535 students will receive their degrees during the annual ceremony of Visva-Bharati University Convocation. Visva-Bharati University is believed to be the oldest central university in India founded by Rabindranath Tagore in 1921. The Government has declared the Visva-Bharati University as "an Institution of National Importance" by an Act of Parliament, 1951.
