CAPF Syllabus 2021: Union Public Service Commission has released the official notification for 159 posts of Assistant Commandant on its official website on 15th April 2021. The exam will be conducted for Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP),  and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). As per the UPSC calendar, the CAPF Exam has been scheduled for 08th August 2021 and the registration for the same has been active till 05th May 2021. So the candidates who have been waiting for this recruitment can buckle themselves and begin with their preparation with the updated exam pattern and syllabus

CAPF (AC) 2021: Selection Process

The candidate has to go through the following stages to get selected for Assistant Commandant vacancies:

  1. Written Examination
  2. Physical test
  3. Interview

  • Paper-II based on General Studies, Essay and Comprehension (descriptive)
Negative Marking Only for Paper-I of first-round; (0.33) marks deducts for each wrong answer
Second round Physical Ability Test
Third round Interview/Personality Test

CAPF Exam Pattern 2021

The UPSC CAPF written exam is the first stage for the selection of candidates for the next round. The exam is conducted to shortlist candidates for the Physical & Medical Standards Test. The exam is held on the basis of exam pattern which is notified by the UPSC in the official notification.

  • Paper I & II will be in bilingual language-Hindi & English, excluding English paper
  • Paper I is of 2 hours duration and Paper II is of 3 Hours duration
  • Paper- I will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) with negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer
  • Paper-II is of descriptive format
  • Paper-I is a qualifying stage; Paper-II will only be checked of those candidates who clear the Paper I
