In the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak, the Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination has postponed the Tripura Joint Entrance Exam (TJEE) till further notice. According to a circular issued by the TJEE Chairman, the revised exam dates will be posted on the official website, tbjee.nic.in. "The Tripura Joint Entrance Exam, which was scheduled to be conducted on June 23, 2021, has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. The new dates will be issued on the board's official website at tbjee.nic.in as well as in local newspapers," stated the official notice.
The state-level entrance exam was scheduled to take place on 23 June 2021 for admission to Engineering, Veterinary, Technological, Agriculture, Paramedical, Fisheries, and other professional degree courses at participating universities in three shifts.

The board had revised the TJEE exam pattern for 2021. Instead of two days, the exam was scheduled to take place on a single day. The papers were to be held in three shifts. The combined Physics and Chemistry paper was scheduled for the first shift of one and a half hours. The Biology exam was scheduled for the second 45-minute shift, while the Mathematics exam was scheduled for the third 45-minute shift.
Students must be permanent residents of Tripura and should have passed the Class 12 board exam from the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) or the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to appear for the test.
