K'taka: No Summer Vacation, Exams As Per Schedule

"The decision has been taken as the academic activities are already delayed for the year 2021-22 due to the pandemic, and there should be no more delay in this process. The cycle of the course period, exams, results, employments, and further studies will be affected if it gets delayed," he added.

Narayana further added that precautionary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of students as well as to ensure that the academic activities do not get affected. And there will not be any summer holidays after the completion of the ongoing examinations. There will be both offline and online classes and it will be mandatory for students to attend either online or offline classes. The classes will begin to function immediately after the examinations.

The students, teachers, and other staff of schools and universities will have to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) strictly. Sanitisation of classrooms, COVID test, maintenance of hygiene, maintaining social distance, and wearing of masks will be mandatory.

"In view of Covid-19, the Integrated Learning Management System (LMS) has already been implemented. The students are facilitated to learn from the locations wherever they are and around 2.70 lakh Tablet PCs have been distributed. The classrooms are made to become smart classrooms and are being converted as studios," he further informed.
