• Spices Board India and UNDP India Accelerator Laboratory signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a blockchain-based traceability interface for Indian spices. The MOU aims to establish a blockchain-based traceability interface for Indian spices to improve the transparency of supply chains and trade. Blockchain is a decentralized process used to record transactions on an open and shared electronic ledger.

• The Indian Electoral Commission hosted the 2021 International Virtual Election Visitor Program (IVEP). The programe is hosted by ECI for the election management bodies of 26 other countries and three international organizations.

• Prime Minister of India paid tribute to Babu Jagjivan Ram on his Jayanti. Jagjivan Ram was born in Chandwa, Bihar, to a Dalit family. He goes to school in the nearby town of Arrah, and this is the first time he has faced discrimination. Jagjivan Ram met the scholar Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, in 1925 and he was greatly inspired by him.

• The Indian Railways completed the closure of the arches of the iconic Chenab Bridge. Chenab Bridge is a steel and concrete arch bridge of the Indian Railways. The Chenab Bridge between Bakkal and Kauri in the Reasi districts of Jammu & Kashmir is under construction. The Chenab Bridge is being built on the Chenab River.

• Under the auspices of the Supreme Court of India, the eCommittee Supreme Court has prepared a draft vision document for the third phase of the e-court project. The eCourt project is a mission model project undertaken by the Department of Justice of the GoI.

• The Home Minister pays tribute to the police officers who had trouble with the Naxalites in Chhattisgarh in April 2021. A joint force of more than 2,000 independent security forces launched an important anti-Nazi operation in the Bijapur and Sukma areas of the South Bastar Forest, considered a Maoist base.

• The International Sports for Development and Peace Day has been celebrated since 2014 with the purpose of promoting and celebrating the power of sports in promoting social change, promoting peace and understanding.
