• The Union Minister inaugurated Saras Aajeevika Mela 2021. The Ministry of Rural Development is organizing “Saras Aajeevika Mela 2021” in Noida Haat. More than 300 rural self-help groups and artisans from 27 states are participating in the Mela event. In Mela (exhibition), a booth showing regional cuisines and cultural performances is being organized.

• E-Daakhil’s consumer grievance redressal portal has been put into use in 15 States/UTs. It is a portal for e-submission of consumer complaints with the National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission (NCDRC) and other consumer commissions. NCDRC launched the plan in September 2020, and Delhi is the first state to implement the plan. The fee for submitting a complaint can also be paid online through the e-Daakhil portal.

• The Government puts emphasis on the sustainable development of coal mines, and takes a multi-pronged approach to the environment and society. In addition to regular environmental monitoring and mitigation measures during the mining process, the Ministry of Coal has also taken some ready-made measures to sustainably develop the coal sector. Some measures are described below.

• The countdown to the launch of the Indian Space Research Organization (PSV-C 51) or Amazonia-1 mission begins on February 27, 2021. The countdown starts at 8:54 in the morning. Finally successfully launched on February 28, 2021. PSLV-C51 is planned to be launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center (SDSC) in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.

• Central Government signs $304 million pact with AIIB for power transmission network in Assam. • Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat won the women’s 53kg gold medal. She won a medal at the 24th Ukrainian Outstanding Wrestler and Coach Memorial in Kiev, Ukraine. As a result, Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat defeated Vanesa Kaladzinskaya, ranked seventh in the world from Belarus, in the final. This is a fight for the gold medal.

• The 78th Golden Globe Awards Ceremony will be held on February 28, 2021 in virtual and offline formats. The award ceremony was filmed in Los Angeles and New York City. Therefore, the award ceremony was co-hosted by Amy Poehler and Tina Fey for the fourth time. All the winning stars accepted their awards in virtual mode. They also gave a virtual acceptance speech.
