The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has postponed the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET) 2021 for admission to the Post Graduate (PG) courses, July 2021 session due to the worsening Covid-19 situation across the country.

AIIMS Postpones Entrance Exam For PG Courses

However, the exam scheduled to be conducted on 08 May 2021 has been deferred till further notice. The revised dates will be released on its official website aiimsexams.ac.in soon.

"In view of the evolving situation related to COVID-19 outbreak, the competent authority of AIIMS has decided to postpone the conduct of following entrance examination scheduled in May 2021: INI CET PG July [MD/MS/DM (6 yrs)/M.Ch (6 yrs)/MDS)] for July 2021 session, scheduled date - May 8, 2021," stated the official notice by AIIMS.

The admit card for the INI-CET 2021 is expected to be released on 30 April 2021 at the website aiimsexams.ac.in. The INI-CET 2021 exam is being conducted for admissions to postgraduate medical courses such as MD, MS, DM, MCH, and MDS.

Earlier, the CBSE and ICSE have already cancelled the Class 10 Board Exams while the Class 12 Board Exams have been postponed due to the deteriorating Covid-19 situation across the country.

Meanwhile, according to government reports, India has recorded 3,46,786 new Covid-19 cases and 2,624 deaths in the last 24 hours.
